CONGRATULATIONS TO CHUCK YARBRO for taking home the mirror ball trophy at the 1st Annual “Dancing with the Moses Lake Stars” Fundraiser! Chuck danced to “Danger Zone” and showed off his “abs” and won the crowd over, especially when he used his auctioneering talent to raise up one of the judges scores from a 7 to a perfect 10!
Our 6 Moses Lake Stars: Chuck Yarbro, Barry Sterner, Bryce Humpherys, Kimberly Ries Ashley, Faith Hemmerling & Shannon Hintz raised over $11,000 in online donations! Meet the Judges
I love my community. I was born and raised in Moses Lake, and have been involved in the sound production, entertainment and radio industry most of my life. I spent over 40 years as part of the Moses Lake Spring Festival lining up entertainment and producing the annual Lip Sync Contest. I have emceed everything from the annual Ag Parade, car shows, fundraisers, and lent my voice to many projects from voice overs for commercials, narrating training videos, announcements for the Jr Miss and Mrs. Washington programs and so much more! I am very excited to be a part of the 1st Annual Dancing with the Moses Lake Stars!
Growing up in Hawaii I never learned to surf, but I did spend countless hours at a dance studio learning many forms of dance. In the mid 2000’s I got involved with musical theater dancing in ‘Anything Goes’ and ‘Little Abner’ at Masquer’s in Soap Lake and later in ‘Guys and Dolls’ with Quincy Valley Allied Art. Choreographing three musicals (2017 Addams Family, 2018 Grease, 2019 Footloose) at Moses Lake High School was the highlight of my dancing and volunteering life. I’m really happy to be part of this exciting new show from the CBCCA.
I am a proud resident of the Columbia Basin, where I’ve called home for my entire life. I’ve enjoyed all aspects of participating in the school choir through Jr. High and High School. I was Jr. Miss way back in 1986 and was Captain of the Molahiettes my Sr. year. I appreciate all the hard work and dedication it takes in putting together events like this and I am excited to be a judge of Dancing with The Moses Lake Stars. I believe supporting CBCCA helps provide a unique and immersive experience that connects people and fosters a sense of community. |
